I wanted so badly to be obsessed with this but I just finished it and I feel⦠nothing. I think I just wanted more. The girls could have been more unhinged (yes I believe that) we could have got more George and more Mary and the Revolution and WAY more Marie and Sadie. I know the book could only be so long but I think the beginning spent so much time going over every single detail and in the end all the important stuff was simply briefly mentioned and moved on from.

Iām forever changed and this might be the best book Iāve read this year Was confused 95% of the time but the sheer beauty that lies in this novel is truly inexplicable A beautiful, labyrinthine love letter to stories and books!!

Every graphic novel ever
I have spent years curating a list of graphic novels for myself on goodreads and I thought this place would be great to share it and share my love for graphic novels. Iām not picky about the plot or topics of the graphic novels I read so the list is pretty much any graphic novel I have heard of regardless of topic. Many are middle grade or young adult as is the general trend of the format but recommendations for more (especially adult) would be greatly appreciated.
Also manga is not included.

Iāve run into so many books now where I feel like they were rated poorly because people expected something different from the blurb. Like, it will try to market something as a TWISTY THRILLER when itās actually a character study, so people get mad that there is not much plot. Thatās usually what it is - marketing leans on plot devices so books that are more about character studies or themes get poor ratings because āit wasnāt as advertisedā which is frustrating because itās not the authors fault. So what is your Roman Empire of Marketing that did a book dirty? I felt this way about Immaculate Conception recently, and about My Husband. Both of these books are not really about the plot events, and I got frustrated that I was sitting here ill over the character studies and other people went ābut the plot :/ā or āthe world building was nothingā lol.
