Harrow the Ninth (The Locked Tomb, #2)
Tamsyn Muir
DaybeOneMay finished reading and wrote a review...
Did you ever want to read a book about an author with a penpal while writing a manuscript about an author writing a book about an author? No? How about if two of these layers have a murder mystery element. Still no? Fair. I probably wouldn't have either if I knew how many layers I was signing up for. Honestly it broke my brain a little bit, but goodness did the audiobook help me not fall asleep in a car. It does have that going for it.

With all the new quests dropping today (including the first installment of the genre starter packs), I'm curious. What inspires you to join a quest? Do you have certain criteria or do you just think "oooh pretty badge, must join"? 😂 For me, I've set the limit that I must have a genuine interest in at least 5 books in a quest to join it. That way I know I can at least obtain the lowest tier of badge, doesn't matter if it's a side or main quest. I feel like if there are less than 5 books in the quest that I want to/have read, it's probably not for me anyway. What do you think? Do you have a similar thought process or do you think about the quests completely differently?

Fantasy and Sci-Fi with a Side of Romance 🐉💘🚀

Dramatic battles, tense political intrigue, unique world building...and is that maybe some romance I'm sensing? These books are not Romantasy but focus primarily on the SFF elements. Romance is a subplot and may not appear until later in the series, but when it does, you won't be disappointed.

Video gamers of Pagebound, I'm about to be finished with my current game, and I want to know if any of you have recommendations for games with great storytelling! One that comes to mind for me is Witcher 3, which is based on Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher series. Recs don't have to be based on books, just have to be great at telling its story (and hopefully also good when it comes to gameplay mechanics). Edit: Wow I’m so overwhelmed by all the recommendations (in a good way)! I think I have now wishlisted enough games to last me until I’m 40.

anyone else ever get stressed cause there’s so much that needs to get figured out and not enough pages left?! 😭 poor ty needs some attention stat, audre and eva need to patch up, eva and her mom are all messed up, they have to go to louisiana, figure out shane’s teaching situation, fix eva’s movie thing, nevermind all the trauma eva and shane still need to work through 😮💨😮💨😮💨

What a beautifully written epilogue. I love this style of writing and would love to read more like this from the author. Very fairytale-like
