This book was way easier to read than I expected. It speaks of morality and sins of life and let's you into the mind of a conflicted sinner.

Normally I read translations in my native language, but this book I am reading in the English translation by Polly Barton. I'm really enjoying it up until now and I like that the translator decided to keep a lot of the Japanese words! That said, I do have a background in Japanese studies and I wonder whether others without this knowledge feel like these Japanese words/habits/... are making it harder to follow the story? I think that it's mostly not necessary to understand these to follow the main story line, but I would like to hear your opinion! ☺️
