I am a certifiable mood reader 😅 However with the approach of summer next week (I’m a teacher) I would love to plan out my reading for the next couple months.
So how did you get started planning your reading? How do you account for how long you think it will take you to get through a book? How do you stay flexible?
Any help is appreciated! 😉🥰 Thanks!

For my final act of credits on Book of the Month (a book subscription service) I am trying to choose between getting The God of The Woods or The Everlasting. I can’t really decide, and I know both of them are very well liked- though on BOTM god of the woods is an award winner so it may possibly be special edition? I was thinking Yesteryear as well, but thought it may not be as versatile as the others. Any thoughts? Or other BOTM suggestions?

I can't believe my first forum post is about this 😔 but I'm so sad and mad... I was just scrolling in my home feed, and you know, spoilers are always marked/blurred: you choose if you want to see them. So, I came across a post that it wasn't blurred... AND I GOT SPOILED WHEN WE LOST OUT HEAD ENDING 😭😭😭 The post had the % and the spoiler tag, but it didn't appear blurry!!! First time this happens to me!!! Should I report it as a bug? Or I had bad luck???

What are your thoughts on chapter titles? Personally, I love them, especially when they're clever and hint at what may happen in the chapter. But I feel like so many books don't have them! Perhaps they're just more common/popular with YA and middle grade books, so publishers don't want to include them in adult books.

hey guys, does anyone have any recs for books that feature the ocean deeper than just being about pirates or including one scene where the main characters' boat is attacked by a sea monster?
I'm looking for stories that spend a considerable amount of time fleshing out ocean environments and its creatures. Is this too niche? I feel like it's kinda difficult to find books like this. I'm open to any genres but I specifically love Fantasy and Sci-fi 🐙

hi all!!! my brother in law decided to start a family bookclub group chat and i am SO hype considering im a huge reader- i thought id come help my fellow 🫛🐝 peeps about possible book recs! so i have NO idea what kind of books the others like (there are 5 of us total and im the youngest at 23), so i was hoping for some recs that are pretty versatile in the target audience. i have such a huge range of liked books and im really not sure what recs i should bring to the table!! if you could list any recs that you think would be a good conversation starter or interesting to a wider audience i would be so grateful! (as an example, i think that a book like project hail mary is a great example of a book that a LOT of people would enjoy. so something that is entertaining and still have that pizzazz if that makes sense!! any and all recs will be taken into consideration thank u so much ❤️)

Hi! So when I was in middle school I read a book that I am pretty sure is called “Shadow Hunters” or had that in the title but WAS NOT by Cassandra Claire or even in that universe.
Here is what I remember: It was middle grade. I’m pretty sure the author wrote for Doctor Who. Took place in England. The “villian” was a ghost who died from the Black Death that is like haunting this town or attacking people. Electricity was a big aspect of it. It followed a girl as she moved to a new town. She made friends with a few people in school (there’s a love interest, a really smart girl, another girl, and their American teacher and they like hunt the ghost together). I’m pretty sure at some point a school bus freezes supernaturally.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Did I dream this book up because I’ve spent years trying to find it and I can ’t for the life of me!
Please help 🙏
Edit: I think someone found it: “Shadow Breakers” by Daniel Blythe, but im gonna get it from the library and confirm!

Whether you love to hate or hate to love 'em, these literary bad girls are anything but well-behaved. *Disclaimer: we do not literally support the illegal and oft cruel behavior of these protagonists (usually); we support the authors bold enough to write them (always).
