Unpopular opinion (I believe) BUT I enjoy reading books after I have watched the movie sometimes because I can understand whats going on more clearly in my brain! Mostly because my brain doesnt have to come up with original characters and I can just borrow features from who I sparsely remember from the movie.
Not that I think that MGK was a good choice as far as actors go for this movie (lol) but it helps build out the world in this book so I am enjoying it so far!

RR does it again! The more that I read of the series the more I find myself enjoying this gay hockey world she has created!
It has gotten to a point where characters are over-lapping books which really breaths a lot of life into this world she is building. Troy may not be one of my favorites so far... BUT RR once again showcases yet another example of being a closeted gay man in a honophobic household/ career, and one way to navigate getting free of those fears and insecurities.
I will be looking forward to the next book in this series! Even if she wanted to explore Wyatt's relationship would be interesting too!

This was good up until the very end. Like eating a slice of cake and biting your tongue on the last bite.
Overall I did enjoy the book and the story being told but the message that was being delivered through our main characters eyes was totally undermined and became essentially a joke with the last few pages of the book.
This was worth the first read through and I probably won't be revisiting this book again. I really liked how as readers we were forced to see through our main characters eyes and thoughts and that would been enough for this book to have been very successful.
It did not need a backwards plot twist ending that doesn't add anything to the story.
