Cute and smutty and I like the feminist undertones.

I ugly cried over this book.
It wasn't the futuristic sci-fi, it wasn't even the tech.
It was the emotional core.
The raw mental health rep. The gravitation pull between Milo and The Forgotten. The layered ending that dismantled me piece by piece.
The moment I finished I vowed to never read it again, and immediately reread it again all at once. And then I spend every hour of my waking moments fighting the urge to drop everything (including work) pull it out and start it from the beginning. Losing myself all over again.
Neurovance hit me in the perfect way that now it has a column in the colosseum that is my Roman Empire.
I thought this would be a comfort read (boy was I wrong). It is an emotional experience.
And I'm still not over it.
To Sebastian.

God I cannot stop bawling my fucking eyes out this book was so good🥹
I really tried… I tried so much not to break with this one. I wanted to make it through without breaking down but I literally could not. Truly just because you can do something it doesn’t mean you should do it. This story was amazing and sad and devastating and healing and everything in between. Jay and Milo deserve all the happiness in the world. I hope Alex never stops writing, I hope she keeps making these beautiful books that heal me each time I read them.
Sebastian, you are loved. To Sebastian🐢🩵
