Not bad so far, ideal fir filling time while waiting for book releases/audible credits. I like the humour. Adams is the best character so far lol. I. Reading as part of a set so not sure how % of progress of the first book, but im on chapter 10

After a rather rocky start, I've ended up taking a liking to the book. I still have the same gripes as before with the narration, but for the most part im able to ignore it. I did feel like a couple of the plot points were a bit obvious, but with the amount of fantasy based media I've consumed in my life, I shouldn't be surprised. Not sure when I'll end up listening to the rest. Book 1 was free with the audio subscription and im saving my credits for other series'. But im curious about what comes next so the other 3 will definitely be going on my TBR.

Has anyone else had a hard time finishing this one? I’ve heard it’s the best one in the series but I’ve had to force myself to keep reading and hope it gets better😭🤞🏼

Atlas' breath tastes like....wind? What is that even meant to taste like??? The metaphors in the book are so weird sometimes...

I'm sorry???? Did Odell (idk if that's how its spelt, im on audiobook) really just say Atlas can't be held accountable for his actions because he's a male??? I hope that's just Fae's being Fae and not a widely accepted view point 😅

Not sure about this one. As soon as I started i wasn't overly fond of the Narrators. I'm getting used to Soneela Nankani's voice, but the inflection at the of almost every one of Corvin King's lines makes it makes it sound like Nadir is in a constant state of surprise. For someone who's been imprisoned for half of, if not more, of her life, Lor makes ALOT of metaphors. It's way to much in my opinion. Gabriel is trying waaay to hard to be an ass. It would take two seconds to explain enough for Lor to grasp the situation, but he seems to refuse to, and is instead unnecessarily aggressive when Lor tries to ask anything I get that High Fae are generally more attractive than mortals, that's a fairly standard plot point, but the way they are described, apart from the heights, and hair/eye colours they are all described so similarly that's its hard to imagine anything distinguishing about them. I won't drop it just yet, buuut its not looking hopeful.
