Call me biased, but Reid's very first description of Ilya cannot call to my mind's eye anyone but Connor Storrie.

  • Rereading

I very rarely reread books. I can name maybe a handful over my lifespan. Mainly, it's because I think a lot of the books I've read and enjoyed would have a different impact if I am at a different point in my life.

Example: a few years ago I reread 13 Reasons Why for a book club, about a decade after the first time reading it. I remember it being really impactful and moving the first time. But the reread was like reading a different book. Instead of sympathizing with the girl, I kept thinking about how selfish she was being.

So, I am pretty much a no on rereading....thoughts?

    😰

Getting into this book was slow for me but MAN did it pay out! Gwynne did a MINDBLOWING job with everything from the world building to the plot. I will definitely be continuing this series!
