I thought it would be kind of fun to see where in the world people are, and then folks can make friends with people from the same countries/ares (if they way, not pressure obviously). I'll go first. I'm Canadian, and more specifically I am in British Columbia (Vancouver Island if you want to get fancy). Try to find your country and join that thread! Everyone else?

I went into this book totally blind and didn’t even read the summary. I had heard good things but didn’t have high expectations. Man I was blown out of the water by this one. For it being a YA story, it was filled with yearning, and suspense, and characters that I just fell in love with in every lifetime. I would totally recommend this book. Especially to anyone who likes a fantasy book that isn’t too complicated, love across lifetimes/soulmates, and a book that keeps you guessing. This would be the perfect fall fantasy book!

me at the start of this book:
me in the last three chapters of this book:
Loved that we could get a novella on Lift and get to know her a little more before she inevitably arrives as a main character in The Stormlight Archives. A short, quick story that dumps lore on you at the end, leaving me confused and happy.
Enjoy!

This was such a wholesome vibes book. This is the type of literary fiction I want to read all the time. Since finding JR Stradal books I’ve been searching for books that I feel fit in a similar category. I’ve only now found this one and one other! The characters you follow all have such depth and complicated back stories. Seeing how they all interact and how the stories play out just pulls me in. It’s all just so relatable. I laughed out loud, my heart broke with the characters, and I never wanted it to end. I would recommend this book to people who like multi generational types of stories, unlikely friends, chaotic older folks who don’t give two hoots, and want a feel good book. I typically recommend these type of books to people who enjoy wholesome stories, my parents and their friends and my grandparents.

Ithan’s POV is absolutely killing me. He is so dumb and everyone just keeps letting him do whatever he wants. Also I feel like you could see what was going to happen to him coming a mile away??
