Pretty sure I meant to ask this months ago and completely forgot lol. Any sapphic book recs similar to the show Friendly Rivalry? Or just anything a fan of it would probably enjoy. It's one of my favourite shows and I'm awaiting impatiently for season 2 lol.

“The trees around her house were always bent down, stomach-ached in the wind, her windows smeared with the bodies of insects that hurled themselves against the glass in search of respite from the weather.”
GAHHH I love the way she writes. I keep rereading sentences with total admiration. I wish I had this way with words.

Hello nerds I’m very curious what settings n stuff everyone has on their ereaders 🤓 Mine on my kindle is Font: OpenDyslexic (I’m not dyslexic but I read it apparently helps with reading with audhd) with bold 2 and size 4 with line spacing 3 (I sometimes reread the same sentence over and over so it helps having big line spacing lol) I don’t have any reading progress settings on bcos it’s too distracting for me

I tend to "humanize" the books I read. It is not serious, and mainly done for shits and giggles, but I kinda treat them like a little creature who is here to tell me a story or teach me stuff. I refer to them as boys/girls (depending on the gender of the author) and if they are thick I call them big boys/girls. When organizing my shelves I talk to them, hold them gently, feel actual love towards them. Today I reorganized my upstairs classic shelves, and I remembered, that One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey had so much sexism and racism, so I put him on prupose between Uncle Tom's Cabin by Beecher-Stowe and Edible Woman by Atwood. Like yes buddy, you messed it up, made me mad with your bigotry, so now I'm punishing you by sticking you between a feminist and an abolitionist :)). Have fun til I decide to reorganize yall :))! I spent like 10 minutes just looking at the shelf giggling about it. Is this really weird, or does someone else do similar stuff?

I’ve recently gotten into some graphic novels and manga and it got me wishing some of my favourite books (especially fantasy ones!) could be released as graphic novels.
What book(s) would you choose to get as a graphic novel if you could? Id love to see The Priory of the Orange Tree be a graphic novel!! There are so many beautiful scenes and I feel like the world is so rich!

I am not that big on re-reading, as I always want to tackle a new world on my neverending TBR, and was wondering how others do it. I often hear people only keep books if they would re-read them someday. I am big on collecting books, but also only the ones I find especially good. However, when I look at my shelf I feel more of an achievment to have read them than the urge to re-read them. Especially with long series. How much and which books do you re-read? Do you re-read only your favorits? Do you have certain books you read every year? How many of your yearly books are new vs re-reads?

With today being the last day of April (HOW 😵💫), have you already made plans for what you're going to read in May?
My hold for Yield Under Great Persuasion just came through, and I'm SUPER excited to start it! I want to finish up what I'm currently reading before I launch into whole new book adventures afresh next month.
Tell me about your plans! Are you starting some new books or finishing up what you're reading? Anything you're really looking forward to?
