Since we're about halfway through the year, I was looking at some of my reading stats, and I realized that less than 1% of the books I've read this year are books that I own.
About what percentage of books that you read do you own, and why do you think that this number is what it is, high or low?
Personally, I think I'm easily drawn in by the shiny, so if something strikes my interest, I end up immediately checking to see if it's available in a digital format from one of my libraries and either start reading it right away, or put it on hold. Then I'm at the whims of my incoming holds. The deadline of books being due also motivates me to actually read them, versus when books are in my house or digitally purchased, I often take them for granted, and then they languish for years đŹ

Just saw a post about which books didn't live up to their beautiful covers, so I wanted to ask the community if you have read any books with horrible covers that turned out to be really great?
Don't judge a book by its cover! (Although I definitely do)
I think my most recent read was Trust by Hernan Diaz (not the Riverhead cover though, that one is gorgeous, but I've never seen that one where I live!)

i've read so many books simply for their beautiful covers and been sorely disappointed in the actual quality of the book đ has anyone else had this experience? and with what books?

I am currently trying to pace myself with Thrall, but it happens to fit exactly what Iâve been in the mood for. Itâs hard not to pick it back up and inhale the rest. Even if the remaining 13% of the book turned out meh, Iâll appreciate the 5 star time I had to this point đ€© Anyone else absolutely LOVING their current read and what book is it!?? đđ

I am not that big on re-reading, as I always want to tackle a new world on my neverending TBR, and was wondering how others do it. I often hear people only keep books if they would re-read them someday. I am big on collecting books, but also only the ones I find especially good. However, when I look at my shelf I feel more of an achievment to have read them than the urge to re-read them. Especially with long series. How much and which books do you re-read? Do you re-read only your favorits? Do you have certain books you read every year? How many of your yearly books are new vs re-reads?

Iâve recently gotten into some graphic novels and manga and it got me wishing some of my favourite books (especially fantasy ones!) could be released as graphic novels.
What book(s) would you choose to get as a graphic novel if you could? Id love to see The Priory of the Orange Tree be a graphic novel!! There are so many beautiful scenes and I feel like the world is so rich!
