I was talking to my girlfriend about this book and mentioned the part where Mona says “ How do you kill someone with bread?” And my girlfriend without missing a beat says “ Well if the person has celiac disease then the bread could kill them”. We both laughed at that and she really made me think about how bread could possibly kill someone. Anyway I’m loving this book so far and can’t wait to read more!!

“ Until midnight.” “Until midnight, a hundred years from now.” This book ended up being darker than I originally thought but I still loved every minute of it! I absolutely loved how Alex and Ophelia’s relationship progressed throughout the book and how each one of them was dealing with their own issues (such a grief and depression). I also love that this book had dual POV as it was always so interesting getting to hear / see the story through Alex’s perspective. While I hated how this book ended, I’m very excited for the 2nd book and can’t wait for it to come out!!

Not me constantly flipping back and forth at the start of every chapter checking the dates and names to make sure I haven’t missed something. I need to draft up a timeline.

I randomly found this book in the romance section of a Barnes and Noble and have been so excited to read it! So far loving it and was so happy to see that this book is dual POV (it’s my favorite)! I absolutely love Ophelia as a character and find her to be hilarious! I’m excited to see where this story goes as I love a good mystery and this school is super spooky.

“There are many kinds of magic, after all” This was my second reading this book and it was just as captivating and breathtaking as the first time a read it. Despite this book having a very slow start, the rest of the book is so immersive that you’ll just fly through it. The imagery in this book is unlike any other I’ve ever read and is so vivid you can see the entire story play out in your head perfectly! I absolutely love this book and highly recommend that anyone who loves magic, fantasy, and a little mystery give it a try! Actually rating: 4.25/5
