im reading this series mainly as a hate read, cus I got the books as a gift years ago, so I won't leave and actual rating. If I was it would be 1 a tho.
this book genuinely infuriates me so much, it's a terrible book to take any kind of realtionship advice from in any way what so ever. Hardin needs to go to a therapist and stop making his shit everyone else's problem. And Tessa really needs to just actually stand up for herself.
My only positive about this book is that as a self contained story, ignoring the rest of the series, the ending would've been great. If it was just a story about how expecting someone to change and continously giving them second chances will only end up hurting you. And about how if you keep treating people like shit it will reach a tipping point and they'll leave.
of course that is not what this series is I'm instead meant to be rooting for this couple which I'm very far from doing. I'm hoping they'll stay far apart from each other and Hardin will go see a therapist and workout whatever it is that's up with him and deal with his trauma, cus this shit isnt healthy for either of them.
