I'm curious what services/apps/resources everyone uses in addition to Pagebound, if any, to track their reading. I personally made the transition from Goodreads to Storygraph a few years ago, and I'm still using it in addition to Pagebound to get information on my reading stats. But does anyone have any nifty apps, resources, or personal methods they've found fun and/or useful for tracking various aspects of their reading?

Listen LMFAO I got annotation materials just to get through this thick misses. I saw on a TT that you can get confused so I was like “yeah let me prepare.”

Some of my favorite manga/manhwas are when characters are dropped into a magical world and have to adapt to a new way of life (aka, Iseki stories). If you were dropped in some kind of fantasy world, what would you do?? For example, in The Savior’s Book Café Story in Another World, the main character decides to open a magical bookshop and cafe, and lives a (mostly) quiet life running her shop and reading. Lowkey that sounds amazing, so I’d probably do the same thing, but I’m curious what other people would do if there were no limits!
Edit: for my realist friends! Imagine you can do anything, even things you don’t have the skills or knowledge for here/now. And you aren’t stuck there forever, let’s say a year, so you will see your friends and family again. AND you can speak the language. Imagine this is a perfect, magical utopia where the only thing you have to worry about is finding something fun and exciting to keep you entertained for the year you are stuck there!

If you have any recs similar to these (no reincarnation plots pls, my TBR is full of them!) I would love them! 🥰

Hey, beautiful people 💫 After that post I made in the forum I felt so surprised to see so many people relate to my situation, and it was overwhelming (in the best way) to feel everyone's support and understanding. So I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took the time to give me a little uplifting, it really made a difference.
This made me think that we really are a community of dear anonymous friends, who support each other through the love of books. Which led me to this thought: There are so many beautiful and original usernames... What's the story behind each one? (except for one_crazy_eliott, I think I understand the reason behind Mr. Crazy's username 🤭🤭🤭)
So, if you feel comfortable, share the story behind it. I think it will help bring us closer and keep everyone's anonymity anyway.
I'll start: The OGs know I started PB as fantasy.betareader but decided later to change my username to Pipsy to help me feel more connected here. This is a nickname my sister gave me when I was 3 or 4 years old, and it stuck until today. My whole family calls me by it, my friends, my teachers, my bosses, etc. Even on my passport, my signature says Pipsy. So that's basically my name 😊

How do y'all feel about reading seasonal books? As we get further into fall do you find yourself turning to fall vibes (withcy romances, anyone?). Or with winter approaching, do you start adding winter themed books to your libby holds?? I never used to read books in line with the season, but I've been trying to do it more.

anyone else have a running won’t be reading/anti-tbr? i haven’t made mine here yet, but i have one on fable to keep track of books i don’t want to engage with due to the author or subject matter or just because it’s not at all my thing. i’ve found it really useful instead of having to rely on just remembering problematic authors/etc!

IndieVember 2025 Presented by BroMantasy
This November I will be reading strictly Indies, for those of you who don't know what they are, it's book written by independent authors who are either self publishing their works or using small publishers. This means usually marketing and all costs fall to these authors trying to put their stories out into the world, and they are often overlooked and we as readers miss out on some incredible stories.
I will be adding some that I have already read, as well as what I plan to read for IndieVember

I feel like I'm old school for preferring a good book summary as the selling point for me as a reader. It feels like book marketing now likes to rely primarily on a mishmash of tropes and pithy blurbs to grab a reader's attention. Clearly it is a method that works, as I see a lot of people respond positively to them on all sorts of social media platforms. But I wonder if there are still readers out there who, like me, prefer an enticing summary pitch that piques my interest to pick up the book? (... and add it to my insanely long TBR hoard.)
