This wasn’t my cup of tea. I found the narrative style to be very cloying and just would stop the pacing of the story in its tracks. Cute, but not for me.

Cute, fun summer read! I adore enemies to lovers and I adored the mean-next-door-neighbor Wes.
I’m not sure I’ll read the second one and I’m worried it’ll ruin it for me…

I liked this! I do think I found it harder to follow along because it was an audiobook. I wonder if it would have been a hirer rating if I read it!

I love a duology! This second book felt WAY more fast paced and intense than the first, and I was all in for it. Much more fascinating story with the warring parties and gods being more present. I do think the final battle scene was a little bit rushed, but overall still an enjoyable read and can’t wait to get more from this author in the future.

I rarely read crime-fic but this was a rec from a good friend and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Great moody-noir set in NYC in the 90s. Author had really awesome descriptions of the city and twisty story.
