Colonel Brandon ew, dude you're 35 you've had time to find a woman to look at that's not literally 16 years old just because you're projecting your "love" for your ex-firat love that you let 1) go 2) abused and 3) didn't fully care for her daughter. I don't care if he's supposed to be a good character, he will always give me the ick.

Edward, like I said in a comment before: we have a saying in my country "tienes horchata en la sangre" which means you have sweet milk in your blood and we use it to talk about someone who's boringly calm and has no passion. He's that, he's the most bland guy I've ever read, when I think about him the bride your You're Losing Me by Taylor Swift ("do something, babe") comes to my mind. I just wanna shake him out of wherever he is 😓

Marianne is a child. Literally a child. A naive, indulgent, child that likes to think she knows it all and best. I understand that but I still don't like her, if my siblings talk to me like she sometimes talks... Dude, they're trying to help you.

Elinor, you can do better, he's the most soft (in a bad way) guy you'll ever meet. Girl, go live your life, read a lot, paint more and seduce a better gentleman. She thinks she's better than everyone, and she is, but by comparison, not because she fundamentally is.

I still think Colonel Brandon and Elinor made much more sense from the way they had the first interactions and how they developed their friendship.

please don't get offended by anything. all is subjective. I loved this book the first time I read it in my adolescence. my opinion has changed. thank u for coming to my roast.
