I love Batgirl 2000! It was my first comic series, and I still think it was very well written. It follows Cassandra Cain as Batgirl and she’s my favorite DC character. I love her relationship dynamics with her birth parents and the parallels between her relationship with them and with Bruce Wayne/Batman. Despite being adopted, she’s literally Bruce’s clone in so many ways. She pushed herself so hard to save people and felt guilty for every person she failed to save. That unhealthy hero complex was explored more in depth throughout the series and it was just so good.

I personally think Batgirl 2000 is a good starting point if you want to read more about the Batfamily. Cassandra Cain also has an ongoing series, Batgirl 2024, and a one-shot in the Absolute series, which I also highly recommend!
