I am so excited to listen to book. I have meaning to read it for years. And so many people have recommended it to me. I am going in with pretty high expectations, but hopefully realistic ones due to knowing it is a YA and expecting and good YA book

Dramatic battles, tense political intrigue, unique world building...and is that maybe some romance I'm sensing? These books are not Romantasy but focus primarily on the SFF elements. Romance is a subplot and may not appear until later in the series, but when it does, you won't be disappointed.

I am adamant not to read books on booktok because I feel like they are overhyped or that they are all the same exact book. The books are also marketed by tropes. Isn't the whole point of books to be original stories? However, I have found some gems in booktok, divine rivals was really good, but inheritance games was boringggg, and I refuse to read shatter me. Are there any books from booktok anyone has found worth the hype? Because I feel like the best books are always the ones you find hidden in the depths of Goodreads or even just on google, and nowhere close to the booktok community.

What's a title that took you out of a reading slump? I'm in the biggest reading slump of my life rn, and I desperately need a book/series that'll pull me out of it. I've tried picking a random book from my TBR, but I never end up reading it, and this is a last dash attempt to get help. Any ideas?
