I watched the original film and the 2013 remake of Carrie, but I only came around to reading it today. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, and I got to read the fleshed-out perspective of each character that I didn’t get in the film and how Stephen King detailed the backdrop of each character down to minutiae. I’m really amazed at how King captures and accurately depicts his characters and the era in which they lived. Such a good read!

This book reminds me so much of when my Mom and my lola would tell me stories and urban legends. Such a good read.

Exceeded my expectations, and I’m surprised I didn’t have any difficulty following the story. The change of POVs didn’t bother me, and I noticed the breaks immediately, apart from one instance at around 90% mark where the jump was unnoticeable. Nonetheless, against popular opinions, I never had trouble following the storylines and implications.
