Such a fantastic narrative, I can’t wait to check out other novels from Aiden Thomas. Such a strong and incredibly built fantasy story that remains so deeply rooted in culture and mythology to create such a rich environment for “Cemetery Boys” to live!
Sometimes the dialogue is a little cringey, but it’s perfect for the younger audience the novel is geared for. I’m so happy to see a queer novel for younger audiences, let alone a trans one focused around latinx culture.

Unfortunately I had to DNF this one. I stopped at page 98, after I finished chapter 5.
Personally, I really did not care for the characters at all. I had no attachment towards them and I was not interested in continuing to hear their story. The pacing so far felt agonizingly slow which is shocking for a murder mystery, I think.
I also think I’m not really a historical fiction person, so this book just wasn’t for me.
