If you read Broken Rules, you NEED to read this! (And you should likely read it before this, so you can truly appreciate the cameos from previous K.L. Walther characters 😍) This is a romance that was so beyond relatable for me. I'm married now and he supports me in everything, except making excuses for the things I want to do. The way that Olivia handles her complex emotions is so true to life, and the plot itself really teaches a lesson about how small a world can truly be. This novel is another unforgettable one from Walther, and you'll definitely want it. I hope we get a collector's edition with Connor's POV someday like we did with Wit!

What are your YA recs for 2026? I already have a TON of romance planned, so preferably contemporary or speculative please :)

I only recently started reading "adult" romance. I read this bc it was on Prime Reading earlier this year. I enjoyed it as a fluff read/palate cleanser. The plot is simple and the characters feel fictional. There is an A/N about the male love interest being autistic, although I wish that was shown more in the narrative rather than told to us like an afterthought. I'd be interested to read more from this series/author.

This is non-fiction "how to" so ignore plot and characters. I read it for an MFA course and it really helped my personal writing process evolve!

This is soooo different from her other books I read earlier this year but I like it! I think it is more relatable if you are widowed or similar but definitely a good contemporary romance if you are looking to age up from YA at all :)

When was it you realized, while reading/finishing a book "wow, this is what I really enjoy reading", and why? What characteristics hold your interest?

It would be sooo nice if there was a reading streak tracker like Fable had! It is the one thing keeping me from the full jump :(
