    Enjoyment: 1.5Quality: 2.0Characters: 2.0Plot: 1.0

A list of good things about this book:

    1. Yrene.
    2. That it is over.

A list of reasons I will never read this book again:

    1. The lies told about Sam Cortland. I have never been more underwhelmed by a character. People really mad me believe he was THE love interest and then he just turned out to be a bland man. I never learned anything about him other than that he is good looking and oh so great but why he is great? I wouldn't know, neither does the author.

    2. The repetition of information. Were these stories not edited when they were combined into one book? The amount of times the first story was recounted again and again! I KNOW what happened, I just read it, unfortunately!

    3. The stupidity of the "greatest" assassin. Celaena was already not my favourite character but her lack of consideration, her lack of listening skills and the fact she runs headfirst into every single trap ever without thinking was quickly getting on my nerves. She praises herself at every step and yet she fails every time she does anything.

    4. The plot. It was very evident that the author just needed certain things to happen without doing any of the actual work to make it make sense. Why split up Sam and Celaena for a job that entails killing the biggest crime lord in the city when they both know they work best together? Why make these super assassins dumber and dumber anytime the plot requires them to be betrayed? Why not actually show how their connection grows instead of separating them for 70% of the book and then sprinting through them getting together out of nowhere?
