If you think real world societies are bad (you'd be right)... get a load of *these.*

While I loved a whole bunch of quotes and sometimes reread entire chapters four times before being able to move on, especially the reflections on the relationship between human and humanoids, I was ultimately too confused to fully appreciate this story.
The vagueness of the situation and the interviews made it too difficult for me to understand the point of many chapters, and thus it feels like half the book had no other point but to confuse me. I think just a tiny bit more context would have completely sold me.
A book that had a lot of potential, with great discussions on what makes us humans and delicious hints of horror, but ultimately wasn't fleshed out enough for me!
I'm standing in the rain you think can never fall on you. I become one with that rain. I'm the storm you shelter from. This entire house is something you built just to avoid me. So don't come to me and say I play no part in human lives.
