Post from the The Lost Hero (The Heroes of Olympus, #1) forum
My reading club finally reached Heroes of Olympus, this was my favorite saga in the whole CHB Chronicles so I'm really excited about re-reading it 𼚠I hope I can enjoy just like I did when I was a 12 yo
I'll have to switch between reading the epub and my physical copies since I don't always have the chance to read the physical books sighh

Honestly? The best book from the original series, like, damn, everything was perfect: the pacing, the plot twist, the reality of the Great Prophecy, hell, even the deaths were well written and so so enjoyable
Loved it!! So excited to read some of the companion books before starting HOO

I genuinely loved this book so much, I said I didn't remember a lot of it so it was like reading it for the first time again and it was a really really nice experience. I enjoyed the way Rachel and Nico interacted with Percy and Annabeth, it feels like a great introduction to their (kind of) friendship later in the franchise; also, Ethan's first appearance was soo cool, I really love him and understand his decision to join the Kronos' army.
The action scenes were really nice too, and Rick did a great job making the labyrinth sound like the scariest thing ever lol. Just a great book overall.
