Do you consider it ‘cheating’ to read more than one book at a time? And I don’t mean as a mood reader. I mean reading multiple books at the same time?? I like to have an audiobook, and ebook and a physical book on my roster… and sometimes more than that. Where do you stand?? Cheating or not cheating?

I lost my job a few months ago, so I've been going through a million jobs and trying to figure out what I want to do in my future and i'm wondering how did you actually get a job in a library?? Because working among shelves of books, helping readers find their next obsession, and just being surrounded by that cozy, quiet vibe sounds like a literal dream. Maybe it's not all sunshine and rainbows though haha. I feel like every time I look into it, the requirements feel a little intimidating like, do you have to have a Master’s in Library Science? Are there entry-level roles you can start with? Volunteer opportunities that lead somewhere? I do know how challenging and competitive it is though so maybe this is just best as a huge dream. Regardless, I'm genuinely curious! If you work in a library (or have in the past), how did you get your foot in the door? It's okay if you want to be vague for safety reasons. And if you don’t work in a library, is this something you’ve also daydreamed about? I've been daydreaming a lot lately haha.

it's been a long battle of book version versus movie version. i know it's not a new trend to turn books into movies, but more recently many of our loved books are being turned into movies. don't get me wrong, i like it when some of my favorite books have a movie adaptation (especially when done right). lately though, it seems like the movie industry is turning to creating movie adaptations of books left and right. are they just banking on the popularity of these books? did hollywood run out of ideas for movies? what are your thoughts on this? let's discuss!

I'll go first. I really really really despise bad worldbuilding. Fourth Wing is the best example of this. The worldbuilding could have been so amazing if the author just thought it out more. But she didn't. So it really sucks. And that's what I mean. When authors don't fully think of the simple questions. Because if I can think for like a few seconds and the thing unravels, you didn't do a good job at all. This also applies to plot points. Because in Fourth Wing, a rebel town was supposedly destroyed but apparently nobody in that goddamn empire even checked the area so they rebuilt the town. How tf does that make sense? How tf would an empire just never check up on that place to see if it's destroyed? Cuz apparently nobody knew they rebuilt. How????? They have dragons. Someone should have flew over that area??? There is no fucking way. It should be common knowledge that they are still around.
