    Just finished this book and loved it way more than I expected. Now I'm considering getting Somewhere Beyond the Sea. For those who've read it, is it worth it? I'm a little worried it'll be a letdown compared to the first book. Did it live up to your expectations or maybe surpass them? 🥹

    When something is sanctioned, how easily humans normalize and accept it. History is full of examples and they continue today: racism, genocide, lobotomies, and countless other acts of cruelty.

    Tender Is the Flesh pushes this idea to its extreme, showing how quickly people can adapt to the unthinkable when society decides it is acceptable.
