I have a feeling that I’m going to DNF this book. I’m not supper into miscommunication/manipulation tropes where a character lies to make someone look bad. It gives me a similar vibe to Don’t Let Her Stay which I also DNF’d.

I didn’t know a lot about this book before reading it and it’s a lot sadder than I anticipated. Overall a great read that can easily be done in one sitting. A book everyone should read.

it was fine, but quite overhyped. the psychologist was NOT it, and it was lowkey kinda boring. like, i came for Alicia, not your paranoia and dedication to digging your own grave with Kathy

Listened to this audiobook in about 3 days because it was so good. The writing is excellent and the author never loses tension!
I didn’t see the plot twist coming but I’m almost a bit disappointed in it. I think because I like the characters so much. I’m also a bit confused by the characters motivations.
I felt like there was a lot I could personally relate to in this book which made it a really interesting read TW: child abuse, abusive father.
It’s always an interesting conversation about where violence/evil comes from and what happens to children who are abused when they grown older.
Overall, highly enjoyed!! Would definitely like to read more by this author.
