i never got the chance to read manacled before it was taken down (if there’s still a way to read it, somebody please let me know), so i’m going into this completely blind. tbh i am very very confused so far… someone please help me lol. the only issue for me as of right now is that its just a lot of info-dumping that i dont really understand. hopefully some things are cleared up for me soon.

i love marissa meyer so much. her books have shaped my teen years and this is one of the few books by her i haven’t read yet. unfortunately, this was probably my least favorite by her, but that’s not to say it wasn’t good. i enjoyed it a decent amount and found the premise interesting, i just didn’t feel as connected to the characters and plot of the story as i would’ve liked. i’ll definitely be picking up the next book sometime because im curious to see how she finishes this story after the insane ending of this one.

IT WAS SO GOOD. the characters were very angering, but i believe it was designed that way. the only reason this wasn’t a 5 star is because i got a little bit bored sometimes, but other than that it was fantastic.

i love all of cassandra clare’s books so much. i especially love the way she writes her characters and friendships. as much as i loved this i wish it didn’t take so long to get into the actual plot of the book, but i bet the next book will be fantastic because the world has already been established.

I started listening on Audio and the audio cover is so cool, neon pink with cool cyberpunk art style! I was like this looks frickin awesome, then I added it here and it's the red shoe picture and realized iv had this book on my radar for literally years but never picked it up because I thought it was gonna be a crappy YA love story with no real substance (I read too many of them growing up). So I guess never judge a book by its cover 😅 I'm loving it so far!
