This was an expected story and I really enjoyed it! I could sum up this book with the idea that sometimes decent people do bad things. And sometimes bad people do good things. The explorations of grief and how everyone experiences it was so meaningful... People can sometimes do weird things when they're grieving and only those who are also grieving or have grieved would understand.
There were so many moments of cringe and embarrassing behavior by every single character. Like you love to hate them sometimes kind of cringe. Everyone is pretentious and narcissistic in their own way. Makes for an incredibly entertaining read!
If you like reading characters who are purposely awful (it's a matter of taste), you'll enjoy this one.
There are some moments here and there where extra research could benefit the story, that I was pulled out of the story due to my own vault of useless information lol.
The story does start off a little stilted and slow but picked up at a steady pace to the point I didn't want to put it down (even needing to in order to get my own responsibilities done!). The twists are great and maybe I should have seen them coming but I got got and appreciated it!

Would it be possible to make lists have a "collaborative" option - so you could invite another user(s) to contribute and add books? Just an idea that I keep having!

Not my usual kind of book, but since I love the movie so much I wanted to read its source material. I enjoyed the Driver's back story, which you don't get in the movie. The focus on food was funny/heart-warming.
