Okay even when arresting someone, grabbing at their pet and then letting their indoor pet escape outside is just unnecessarily cruel. Even if the person you’re arresting is a bad person, their animal is innocent.

Perhaps unreasonably excited at recognizing Zale from Swordheart. I just loved them and I’ll be thrilled if they play even a tiny role in this book!

This. Just coexisting with someone. Doing different things in the same space. It's the best.

”All women are beautiful,” said Istvhan, dismissing this. “It is the job of their lovers to make them feel that way if they do not already.”

Oh T. Kingfisher how I love the way you write men.
