this might be too deep, but the way the bots are portrayed as having human characteristics (like being cheery or softhearted) and making me see them as adorable kinda scares me a little. because what if, instead of this genre (robot/tech invasion) serving as a warning signal for us, it just made us conditioned to accept them into our society easier?
