I've read both of Weir's other books and I really enjoy the movie adaptation of The Martian. But I'm wondering if the book will be like reading the movie or if it will have something new to offer? (If there is something new please don't spoil)

Unpopular opinion: I didn’t enjoy the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. 🤐
But.. I did like The Hobbit! So, I’m diving into the book. Plus, this edition includes the first chapter of The Fellowship of the Ring at the end… maybe it’ll even change my mind about LOTR. 😇
So don't come for me yet! 😉

As excited as I was for this book after reading the blurb I'm now kind of left feeling bored and not at all entertained. While I loved certain parts about this book it felt like there were a few interesting scenes and just boring descriptions as fillers between them. Maybe that's just me? Would love to hear how you felt
