  • Kobo subscription justified? 🤞🏼

So I’m thinking a kobo is in my near future but wanted to check with my Fantasy 🧛🏻‍♂️ & Romantasy 🌹 fiends if it’s a viable option? I can’t keep up with the cost of books in my quests/lists/tbr’s even second hand. Kobo is £8.99 a month - think it’d be better long term? I don’t wanna make such a big investment if the genres I’m into are super limited 🤑

I’ll still end up buying books I love, the same way I replace paperbacks I loved with the nicest hardcover version I can ✨ But we all do that. Right? Right?!

Thanks for your thoughts lovelies 💖

  • fading book spines and covers 💔

let me first say: I'm so fortunate to be able to collect books, and I love my physical library so much and don't take it for granted!

has anyone found any solution for not getting book spines and covers to fade as quickly? my shelves used to be in a super sunny room, but after all my red books turned pink I moved them to a much less sunny one that doesn't get direct sunlight.

yesterday I checked and the spines are still fading 😭 now I'm considering moving them to a basement room that doesn't have any windows. but one of the joys of having a library is being able to look at it regularly imo 🥲

I don't mind if a book is used, bent, written in, etc. but faded covers make me especially sad for some reason... I am open to ideas + pep talks that faded spines are just a natural sign of how long I've loved the book 💔

  • Re-read post clarity

What’s a book that you used to love and decided to reread, only to come to the realization that it actually kinda sucks? 😬
