    Not my favorite Sherlock Holmes novel, but it still had some exciting parts, like the chase. And there's love! But the racism in it made me feel very uncomfortable.

    I think this will be a story that stays with me for a while. There's great tension-building. It's incredibly sad that this woman is kept away from people who love her and isn't supposed to use writing as an outlet. And who knew there was so much to see in yellow wallpaper?

    I have not read Dracula yet, but from movies I've watched and from what I've heard about the book it seems a lot of inspiration was taken from Carmilla. Carmilla is a short book with dark, gripping moments. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the details of the body in the casket. And I thought Laura's character lacked depth.

    I enjoyed reading about the wizard school and Ged confronting the dragon. The world Le Guin created felt lived in and like there's a history of Earthsea. I thought the plot was a bit slow though and there were parts I thought were just good.

    I read this book after finishing Heir of Fire. I think this would be better read before Heir of Fire. There were parts I really enjoyed, like the desert, and parts I found slower and not as interesting. I'm looking forward to getting back into the main storyline.
