V.E. Schwab is a beautiful writer. Even though I don't absolutely love vampires, the way she told this story made me want to keep going with it. The settings were great and the backstories were wonderful. I might have wanted the pace kicked up a notch at times, but that might have ruined the lovely narrative. Overall it's a good book. I look forward to reading more of her works.

This is the first book by Emily Henry that I've read. I didn't expect to laugh or find darker, yet real parts of life to pop up in this book. It's well written and the characters are whole. The location is wonderful, the found family is a dream, and I loved the little details that make this story feel real.

    My rating: 4.25 stars
