Apologies in advance for the goofy question, but what's the meta on figuring out who to follow on Pagebound? I've only been here for a few days and I'm struggling with this a bit. Like, what's the etiquette? Is it weird to follow people without interacting with them first? Is it appropriate to just follow the other folks engaging with the books you like, or on the quests you join etc?
I'm very aware I'm overthinking this massively lol
ETA: Thank you so much everyone! This was incredibly helpful and you're all very lovely ♡

This book was an experience. It wasn’t the best written book (especially near the beginning) but once you get into it, the characters seem more real and it gets a bit better.
The one thing I think this book did really well was the relationships. The only one that really lacks anything is Blake and Shannon’s romance, but I think that was intentional. It’s very realistic for a young teenage relationship to lack because it’s new.
Blake as a character, I think, started off very much like the typical caricature of a teenage boy and I think in some ways he stayed like that. Overall, I think it got better but there were moments while reading where I just had to sit there and think “it is very clear a middle aged woman wrote this boy.”
Even though Blake’s photos lacked heart, the story didn’t. I do think that it didn’t get everything right, but I can overlook some of those things.
I did really enjoy reading it eventually, it just took me getting past the very caricatured version of Blake at the beginning.
