I feel like I kind of zoned out and got distracted a lot the first time I listened to the audiobook so we’re going for it again!! So far I’m loving even more than the first time. ☺️

What is your opinion on R. F. Kuang work? I feel like everyone either really love it or hate it I tried to pick up Babel a few months ago but had a hard time getting into the story and when it was time to give it back to my local library I didn't even read a hundred pages Should I try to pick it up again or another of her work or do you guys think it's not worth it?

I can’t wait for this semester to end. I have a thesis progress committee tomorrow and the things that I have to do doesn’t end. I have so many books that I’m excited to read yet can’t find any free time 😭 How do you balance your school or job responsibilities with the things that you like to do? Anyone struggling to create time for reading? I feel burnt out so probably continue after my deadlines 😢

Okay I'm like on the first page and let me just say that the way he writes is beautiful. Two sentences comprise the vast majority of the first two paragraphs, one of which is quite long, and it just flows incredibly well and paints a really vivid picture, and accomplishes both without feeling overdrawn. I know the classics are often classics for a reason but this style enraptures me in a way that Hemingway never did.

Circe, I think you should stay away from this glucose dude. I don't like him.
