I find it really funny how, despite Will being introduced to us as someone who quotes literature a lot and "reads constantly" (according to Jem anyway), we don't actually get a single scene or mention of him reading a book up to this point.

I've never come across a fictional character who hates chocolate as much as I do until Tessa. I feel vindicated!!

Fellow bi- and multilinguals! I’m curious about your reading habits, so if you’ll please indulge me by answering these questions…
1: which languages are you able to speak and/or read? 2: which language is your preferred for reading? Bonus if you can explain why 3: do you ever read books in a language you know but is not your preferred? Which one(s)? Why/why not?

Omg Jace ate the possibly-botulism-infused pickled Baltic herring. I pray, for Clary's sake and everything that is holy, that he didn't kiss her with that mouth for the next 48 hours cuz blergh 🤢

I don't think I'll ever get over how bittersweet finishing this book and series feels. Always and definitely more bitter than sweet, but I can't stop myself from coming back to it over the years, again and again. Thanks for the perpetual cycle of torment and for your beautiful ingenious mind, Cassie Clare 🤕

Istg Clary has done so much unpaid labour for Jace as a therapist. Not only does she have to work through years of repressed childhood trauma and daddy issues with him, but she also has to constantly and painstakingly re-instil in him the belief that he is Not Intrinsically Evil. At this point, just give Clary her honorary doctorate in psychology already.

I'm kinda obsessed with Izzy and Clary(?) being fujoshis. Like first Izzy suggests that it'd be really hot if Simon had a thing for Jace, and then Clary (in Alec's hallucination) says it'd be kinda hot if Jace and Alec make out. Only true-blue fujo queens have yaoi ships that literally involve their own respective love interests.
