This was a really beautifully written book about a topic I hadn't given much (if any) thought to. It made me think about the gifts nature provides and how to put those ideas into practice in my own life. I'm just not sure I really enjoyed this read. I found it a bit repetitive and the subject matter kind of dry.

This was a fun little read, with lovely connections between characters (romantic, platonic, and familial). I enjoyed the tri-holiday spirit. I wish more care had been taken to immerse the setting of the year 2000, which was specifically called out at the start of the book.

I'm liking this so far, but I keep getting pulled out of the story by the blatant 2020s lingo/sayings/culture things that I'm sure wouldn't have been commonplace in 2000. I mean, I certainly don't remember 2000 (the ripe old age of 2 at the time), so maybe I'm wrong but, were people really talking about the "Grumpy/Sunshine" romance trope in 2000?? Was there Economy Plus on airplanes yet??
