I saw a ton of posts in the forum about this book already feeling sad but I don’t really feel sad yet. I can definitely empathise with them but I don’t know that it feels sad rn. I know it gets sad because of the foreshadowing but as of currently (just finished chapter 3) it’s not feeling that sad. Maybe it’s bc I went into this book completely blind (I read the synopsis when I bought it but that was months ago so i don’t remember it) (I think it’s this mostly bc it feels like people are anticipating the sadness and so they’re feeling the grief preemptively). As of now I’m more curious than anything else because I’m barely into the book.
I definitely feel for Hassan and Ali especially with the discrimination they face and the way Amir craves his father’s love and affection but I don’t know that it has stirred enough for me to actually feel sad.
(I am aware that I just said ‘sad’ a million times)

I read every word in this book and I am still not able to tell you what it is about

Wow, I really think you either love or hate this writing style. I LOVED it, I found it sarcastic and funny all the way through, but I do understand that a lot of people would hate it
