Wooooooow. I’m definitely a sucker for a cliche plot - I have high expectations for this one now

I am very excited to read this book. I have read some of it back in 7th grade, which is about 15 years ago, however I do not remember ever finishing it. I just remembered a small chuck of the story (not even the title) so I have googled my way through the internet to find this book.
As for now, I'm not disappointed. But I need to get in the mindset of YA again haha

Reading this was so frustating. I can not imagine living in her world, where women have so little say and get no credit at all. However I really enjoyed the book and the thoughts it made me make.

First time reading the Shatter Me series. This book set is a pretty pricey one compared to other series, and I kept seeing it about so I thought, why not? Without spoilers; what were your first thoughts reading this series? And, is it worth my time?

I don't know if this is true, but when I was in college, my professor told us that the reason Order of the Pheonix is so long because, at the time of editing this book, the editor was apparently pregnant so she didn't spend as much time with editing as she did with the other books. Though it could also be because of Rowling, she probably didn't want to omit several scenes.
I loved reading this even though it was long, and sometimes too dragging, but well, I spent the longest time with this book lol. Any time spent reading is time well spent. There were several funny scenes (thanks to Gred and Forge) the length was bearable 💖🪄

I overall enjoyed it! The relations between the characters were very fast paced, which was a little hard to understand and follow. I would definitively read the next book in the series.

It's going to have to be a DNF for this one. I've been watching review videos and also reading reviews to see what I'm missing but I don't think it makes sense to continue as it'll likely be a 1 or 2 star read.

This was really not a book for me. I had a hard time connecting with the characters, I think the book was confusing, I did not always know which character I was reading about. Also, I read the book in English, even tho it isn't my first language, I usually have no problem understanding the text, however their were so many words and phrases I didn't get.

I'm really having a hard time connecting with the characters and to tell them apart... I probably should DNF it, but I am to stubborn.

I don't know how to feel about this book. Its my first cozy mystery book, so I might just need to get used to the slowness of it all. I do like the dialogs tho.

What I liked: It's again an entertaining book, I don't get bored while reading it, even though there are some things in it that I definitely don't like.
What I didn't like: Why does Nash get so upset that Lina is working on finding a car and insists that Lina took advantage of him? I don't understand it. Also, I think shark week is a joke (I think they're exaggerating it to extreme lengths - no restaurant would do that? or is it just because I'm from Europe?). I was entertained while reading, but had to force myself to read more every day

What I liked: Like Beauty and the Beast but more extreme. You have to get used to the idea that Fae are not little fairies (my first fantasy read). Sometimes frustrating chemistry between Tamlin and Feyre. I am always a sucker for a slow burn.
What I did not like: There are many secrets in the book and it is difficult to understand the context. Tamlin and Feyre have a frustrating relationship at times.
