I’ll be honest yes i was promoting my book i don’t have a PR team or money for ads and as a new author I’m just trying to reach readers in whatever small ways i can i didn’t mean to disrespect the space or annoy anyone i genuinely thought this was a place to connect with book lovers and share my work If this isn’t the right way i understand and I’m sorry I’ll be more mindful about how i share in the future

I've been thinking about this: I have read a lot of books I did not finish but I don't officially allow myself to let that book go.
I feel like my problem is that 1) I feel like I need to finish the book because I bought it and spent money on it and 2) I might miss out if the book ends up getting better.
What are your criteria to pause or dnf a book?

I've been wanting to get into radio plays recently and I figured a good way to ease into it would be listening to audiobooks that are narrated by a cast rather than one person. I'm hoping this might keep my attention closer to the storyline too as my brain has a way of wandering when I'm paralleling with another tedious activity like knitting.
Specifically looking for thriller, mystery, and horror recs. ETA English only please🫶🏻
