this book is so good so far!! i've been reading just over a hundred pages a day on top of my normal busywork, and had a hard time putting it down. collins's songs always give me goose pimples, they are so beautifully done! :))

Mr. Hyde in the book? Evil you cannot put your finger on. Mr. Hyde in the movie? Why does he look so- so- so charming???

i love this book so much, i'm so glad it's on the readalong to encourage others to read it!! it had super autumnal vibes; i read this book mid-spring (which is my favourite season!!) and it left me yearning for the fall. i already said so much of what i have to say about this book in my review, but i do highly recommend it to anyone who has read the trigger warnings and is still interested!!!

sad to say, but i only actually started feeling interested in this one around the end. loads of stuff happened during it, but none of it felt engaging to me, more just like a long infodump.

super emotional, and the capstone to a really good series. the whole trilogy contains so much real, potent political commentary that i find myself agreeing with. the only reason it's not an immediate 5-star like the others in the series is that i felt somewhat unsatisfied once i had finished it, but maybe that's just because i wanted more 😂

i was mostly reading this for some context into frankenstein, and i feel like i got it in spades! highly referenced in a lot of books. reading this did make me very glad to be atheist, as i came away from it feeling like the christian God seemed kind of cruel.
