as much as i wanted to love this one, sadly i couldn’t connect with it (storyline/characters/writing). in the beginning you get this beautiful prose setting up (what you hope to be) a beautiful story and that is what sucked me in but at chapter 10 the writing felt – truly – all over the place and disjointed (this issue does not seem to go away according to other ARC readers). MULTIPLE things happened and none of it made sense; i mean kike.. i did not get what happened even after reading the scene 3+ times. and we had a handful of sxxual moments within the first few chapters that (again) made zero sense to the story (as a dark romance reader, this felt unnecessary). i’m not one to push myself on ‘first’ books anymore; i just can’t justify reading a story that makes no sense and has ‘’all over the place’ writing just for vibes/aesthetics (which is what i gathered from a few readers).
