Can’t believe I can’t just read my book and have work again?? Rowan and Aelin are so damn horny for each other, just get a room. Did enjoy how not all the Lords were impressed by Aelin😂 I mean, it checks out 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

This book has actually been super interesting, while I'm glad I'm doing the tandem, I don't understand why this book caught so much flak. Even with me highly disliking Chaol, I'm really enjoying this one!

i’m really loving the writing style here, the silly analogies somehow work so well in this story. and tress’ character is really growing on me

I already know this is gonna be a favourite, alone because of the writing style. It's so freaking descriptive and beautiful 😍

What’s the youngest age this book can be read to? 😛 Just asking cause I would love to read it to my son but I haven’t read it yet myself and he is only 7… is it too soon??

“Once there was a merchant who traveled far and wide, selling stars.”
I live for this kind of stories

“He doesn’t say what he is thinking, which is that his church is held-breath story listening and late-night-concert ear-ringing rapture and perfect-boss fight-button pressing. That his religion is buried in the silence of freshly fallen snow, in a carefully crafted cocktail, in between the pages of a book somewhere after the beginning but before the ending”.
Man. I never have the patience to save quotes from books or even mark them with post-its. I am not even halfway through this book and I feel like I already wanna reread it and mark everything with colorful post-it stickers… 🥰

ochrasyutopia commented on loveislikebread's review of The Healing Hippo of Hinode Park
A perfectly pleasant, classic cosy Japanese read. Its charm lies in the gentle character development of the local folks who are slowly changed by the mysterious hippo statue in their park. The atmosphere is warm and the conflicts are low-stakes, making it an undemanding comfort read. However, the story feels somewhat static, as it largely happens in the same place without deeply interwoven storylines. The narrative can be a bit too sweet and predictable but a pleasant read. ❤️
