Hi guys ☺️ sorry if this is a repeat post, I have searched with no success.
I am looking for fiction book reccs about athletes in water sports- so diving, swimming, rowing etc
I usually read romance and litfic ( both slow character studies and weird descent into madness vibes) and want quite a good portion to be “game play” if that’s what we can call it. It can be a romance or a story about obsession with some weirdness.
(I have read deep end and enjoyed it! Chlorine is on my tbr. Also love the movie the novice too for reference)
thanks in advance ☺️📚💦

Hoping to get some fresh ideas from others who read multiple series (some complete, some ongoing) at the same time. I have tried multiple ways to keep track of plot summaries, character bios/details, and overall important things to help as a refresher when I am moving through a series but I haven't landed on something that is easy or simple. What are you all doing to help summarize?

“Life on earth is a transcription of falling.”
Groceries is a poetry collection about life, the meaning of our existence, grief, and the joy of normalcy. Miller gives us the things she wants to note and the things we should too: the things we need, the essentials, things to remember - life is worth it.
Miller states that "Life on earth is a hammer with nails" and follows this with a wish that "life could be like oatmeal" illustrating how life is something that sustains and comforts us, but hurts us devastatingly all the same. Only living could save us from the horrors of this existence.
I really appreciated how Miller played with form in the collection and how that lends to the poems themselves. They too are making the shape of meanings, not just with their contents.
I feel that, for the most part, poetry is something that either gels with you or doesn't and is a very personal thing between reader and poem. Unfortunately I didn't really resonate with the collection as a whole and found myself dragging through it despite having a few sparkling moments .
