    the way this books showcases grief is so beautiful. the combination of feeling both happy and devastated for people, that that devastation never goes away even as the joy finds its way back.

    this was such a beautiful portrayal of grief and how different people grieve. and also love and identity. it was gorgeous.

    i really enjoyed the showcase of how horrifically women have been treated in the past and how transness and disability of any sort increases that, and also giving that reflection on how although such extremities are not taking place (at least openly) now, so much of the anxiety and prejudice exists and still clings to us.
