The opening paragraphs of chapter four really shift the perspective. At first, the narrator is stagnant. Following along with Yana, as if it were her who was recounting the story.

Now, it’s as if we are being told a story from the perspective of a bird. Which makes sense. “The Raven Scholar” who would’ve guessed.

Is this story being told from the perspective of the Raven? Like, the highly regarded member of the Eight? The Guardian Raven that so many pledge themselves to? Or is it just a human Raven narrator(s?? Plural maybe???) feeling boastful and cheeky about how cool bird metaphors and perspectives are?
