As a vibes reader, I absolutely adored this book. Itâs short and sweet. To be honest there wasnât much plot but it was indeed as the name suggests. Journal entries. I thought it was so fun bouncing from day to day just like Emma would have. I loved meeting all of the characters and I want to know more about almost all of them. This was just a fun book! The ending left me curious enough to read the next, so Iâm going pick it up asap!

Thank you to NetGalley and Tor for an early look into a very anticipated book for me! Kingfisher is one of my favorites and this one lived up to my expectations. It followed a slightly similar path as Swordheart but this time we follow Learned Edmund and the Dervish (I was VERY excited to read more about the Dervish) I will say, I didnât get to read the clockwork boys series which Iâm discovering Edmund was from. It affected my reading only a little bit as there were references to the other books that I could tell I was missing but Daggerbound explained it enough to where there werenât plot holes for me. It left me wanting more though, so those books are next on my tbr! Daggerbound continued with Kingfishers quippy writing and quirky characters so this was definitely a top read for me! I love how quickly and easily you fall in love with the characters and find yourself feeling like you know them as your close personal friend haha. So happy to have gotten my hands on this one!
