Enjoyed the first part of the book when the author talks about how our childhoods and how we were raised can affect our parenting methods. I agree with this and found the first few chapters fascinating. However, she should have left it at that. I've read many parenting books and this particular one is heavy on opinions and what's "wrong" and "right". I dont appreciate the condescending tone when the author constantly tells parents not to feel guilty or come at her because they didnt do something she feels like the right thing to do.

This whole book read like a know it all parent that thinks they know all the secrets to parenting. The author is also extremely privileged to speak about how much attention and care to give your child without acknowledging different families and what they might struggle with. Not everyone can stay at home or have the privilege to be with their child 24/7.

I really couldnt read any further when she speaks on sleep training. There is just no empathy towards working parents and she continues to explain why her methods of parenting worked and why it is correct.

This book doesnt rely on facts or studies but heavily relies on the author's opinions.

I dont recommend this to any parent to be. There are many other books out there that speak on methods of parenting and communication without all the judgement and opinions of this author.
