When I was a kid, my absolute favorite books were the Moorchild, Island of the Blue Dolphins, and A Little Princess. I haven't read them as an adult, except last year I listened to the audio book version of the Moorchild, which of course gave me a whole new perspective on it but which I still loved.
This made me want to reread my other two favorites, and then I got to thinking, how fun would it be to have a kind of forum or read along or challenge where we revisit books from our childhoods 🥹
So I wanted to ask what books everyone enjoyed as a kid and if anyone would be interested in rereading their favorites 🤗

this is a judgement free zone so im going to so bravely admit my TBR has 3k+ items on it. this is spread across goodreads, storygraph, several google sheets, screenshots across 5+ years randomly in my gallery, notes on my phone, laptop, notebooks, plenty of smudged and washed away scribbles on the back of my hand... you get the point. just whenever ANY random book looked vaguely interesting to knowing without a doubt i would gobble a certain book down and be hungry for more, i tossed them all in some random TBR pile
so i been doing what every sane procrastinator does and have been manually logging them instead of importing my libraries! this is across both here and a brand sparkling new google sheet where i can keep up with certain things more (like author and story diversity, some trigger warnings, genres, etc) to try and get a little familiar with what i want to actually read and to hopefully declutter some of this mess (i am BEGGING myself to get below 2k by the time im done)
so im just curious! when's the last time you have gone through your TBR list and have you ever been so shocked at some of the items on there? or are you more picky with your TBR or your 'interested' shelves on here (a feature i already KNOW im going to abuse, thank you PB 💞)

i forgot that i was reading a copy with two novels inside. i spent the last bit of the book theorizing on how there could possibly be more twists, which probably influenced my feelings on the book.
but the overall mystery was well plotted, and when i have the time i’ll reread the beginning so i can have fun being in the know. i’m now on the lookout for any books where dogs get their deserved happy endings, so any recommendations would be appreciated.
