I’m reading the book in Spanish, and the dialogue is low-key bad and cringe. Is it as bad in English?
I’m reading the books because I liked the movies, but I’m kinda disappointed. 😞
(Also fvck u James Dashner, I bought the books before knowing what allegations were made against him.)

“You know, you sound more like a detective than a psychiatrist.”
Well, this sums up the book. I think the author tried to keep us too much "on the edge of my seat" that Part 3-5 was written too shoddy.
What really set me off is that the author likes to repeat telling the readers about the Alcestis, the trauma parents gives their children, and the savior complex of a character. And it feels like I dont have anything new to read, this could have been less than 200 pages.
This is also a disservice to professionals who works under this field, I dont know if the author has knowledge about psychotherapy or the field itself but it seems like he doesn't. That's why everything in this book was not believable for me.
